Trela Weesner is the Library Media Specialist at Briarhill Middle School in Lewisville ISD. For the past twelve years, Trela strives to make the library an inviting, friendly, and safe place for all learners to explore limitless opportunities. A place where successes and failures are celebrated.

Trela holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M University and a MLS in Library Science from University of North Texas. She is Common Sense Media Certified and an Apple Teacher.

Trela has made presentations at the district and state levels.

​

In 2018 she was Texas Computers Educators Association Librarian of the Year and in 2019 Lewisville ISD Library Media Specialist of the Year.
